This exhibition comprised a selection of recent high-temperature (cone 10), oxidation-fired, glazed semi-vitreous ceramic sculptures. Permeable forms encourage examination of interior and exterior.
Pedestals incorporating white cubic forms atop unpainted 4x4” wooden legs are designed to evoke associations of “white cube” modernist pedestals, work tables, and human legs. Spiraling butt joints used in the construction of the boxes subtly suggest rotation and encourage circumnavigation.
